Four New Signals in Search - Basic article about 4 new signals/trends. 1)Load Time (which we have heard a MILLION times in the last few weeks 2) Clicks 3) Web References – which is reference of a business though not in a link 4) Social Media (everyone knows it’s the next big thing…is is the next BIG thing is the question)

Don’t Miss the Mark on Keyword Research - Don’t get distracted by the Search Volume (long tail keywords will eventually affect your ranking on the broad ones). Don’t get distracted by the amount of keywords (Deal with a nice amount of highly targeted keywords, don’t try to do everything. You will spread yourself to thin).

… I actually found a good note in the comment section by Devon K of SEO in Use.

“Don’t forget also that you have to actually use the keywords for them to be valid. Seems obvious, but it still amazes me how many people forget that part. It’s not good enough to just stick them in the Keywords Meta Tag and call it good. Yahoo! actually classifies it as spam to have even one keyword in the Keyword Meta Tag that isn’t used on the actual page somewhere.”

And I’m going to spend the rest of the night going through my required reading.

I finally got my HP mini back from HP (they say it wasn’t defective…. mmm hmm) so I’m going full force.

So I’m about to get some cafe con leche. And get to getting.

And I have decided not to be a selfish monarch and share some of my SEO website jewels.

You should have seen me practicing things to say to the DREAM BOSS’S BOSS for the interview. I’m taking notes. I’m taking notes on how to implement the principles and techniques on my social organizations’ website as well as the DREAM JOB homepage. I’m feeling great and fall asleep with a smile.
